Articulate Storyline presentation
This is an Articulate Storyline presentation I created for a job interview with a healthcare organization. I made sure to match the presentation colors with those found in the company's logo. I provided personalization with the choice of avatar (healthcare providers). I was also careful to tailor the information to reflect both the industry and department I was interviewing for.

Instructional Handout with Adobe InDesign

I made this instructional handout with Adobe InDesign for my LTE 570 class. This activity showed me the importance of lining up all of the elements on a handout with the margin. This increased the readability of the handout and made it more visually appealing. When creating this handout I also had to consider the color choice and the best ways to give instructions with screen shots of software. This activity incorporates the following standard 1.2.b Apply principles of educational psychology, communications theory, and visual literacy to the development of instructional messages specific to the learning task

Photoshop PosterThis activity was my first attempt at creating instructional elements using Adobe Photoshop. While creating the poster I had to consider the size and display of my final project. Also I had to keep in mind the readability lessons from the first activity. Creating this poster gave me practice in adjusting photos to best suit my learners needs and the correct layout for a combination of words and images. This activity incorporates the following standard 1.2.c Understand, recognize and apply basic principles of message design in the development of a variety of communications with their learners.

Instructional Video
This instructional video was a great combination of a number of different skills. The audio was recorded separately and adjusted for the viewer. The video was edited to minimize down time. The steps were rehearsed to show clear direction. The video was uploaded on a platform that is easily accessible. Many of these steps were improved through trial and error but by the end of the process things moved very smoothly. This activity incorporates the following standard 2.0.1 Select appropriate media to produce effective learning environments using technology resources.
Instructional Podcast
This podcast was my first attempt at using professional sound editing software. I creating this project I learned how to bring together different audio files and original sound recordings. This activity also stressed the importance of writing and practicing a script for a podcast. I also had to consider background noise and my recording atmosphere when creating this podcast. This activity incorporates the following standard 1.1.3.b Demonstrate personal skill development with at least one: computer authoring application, video tool, or electronic communication application.

Adobe Captivate Activity
Here are some screen shots of an Adobe Captivate Activity. This was a great combination of a number of different elements we created throughout the class. This project had screen casts from software that was demonstrated. The audio for this video had to be recorded without background noise in a room with good acustics. The activity had questions that checked the student's understading throughout. The activity also gave the student choiceas to where they wanted the activity to take them. This activity incorporates the following standard 1.1.2.d Incorporate contemporary instructional technology processes in the development of interactive lessons that promote student learning.
Educational Technology Project Management Plan
This project plan was created as part of my master’s in educational technology course LTLE 565 Project Management. For this project plan, I identified an area for growth in the school at which I formally taught. This project reaffirmed some of my previously held ideas about project management, taught me how to professionally apply these ideas, and showed me some common mistakes to avoid in future project management situations. This activity incorporates the following standard: ISTE Standard 1. b. Contribute to the planning, development, communication, implementation, and evaluation of technology-infused strategic plans at the district and school levels.
Automated Scoring and Intelligent Tutoring Systems Literature Review
In this literature review, automated scoring (AS) and intelligent tutoring systems (ITSs) are examined. This is done with the purpose of finding out what barriers still need to be overcome before AS and ITSs can be programmed and implemented in the classroom by teachers. The examination of AS focused on its ability to create valid results when grading essays and short answer responses. The examination of ITSs focused on its effectiveness at improving students’ outcomes. In addition to reviewing these technologies’ effectiveness, the development and limitations of the technologies was reviewed. What was found was that significant barriers still exist that need to be overcome before these technologies are easily implemented by teachers. These barriers include the following, manpower and expertise needed to develop systems, computing power required to host these systems, complicated programming steps, funds for developing these systems, technological limitations, and time needed to program these systems. Of these limitations, the time restraints may be the first to be overcome. Recent developments in AI programming for ITSs have shortened the development time from 40 to 50 hours for one hour of a lesson to 30 minutes for a 30 minute lesson (Weitekamp, 2020).
